Where to find flight specials in South Africa

There are basically 3 types of air travel websites; aggregators, traditional booking engines and the airlines own website. There is no one option that you can use to get the lowest flight specials every single time.

Typically traditional booking engines have good relationships with the airlines. Booking engines are also generally the first to know about any flights specials taking place. Included in a booking engines service is assistance and resolution of any unscheduled or unplanned event that may occur surrounding your flight schedule.

Where to find flight specials in South Africa

Here are some of our proven tactics for grabbing good flight specials in South Africa.

  • When booking through an agent – always specify you want the lowest possible fare.
  • A good strategy is to book the best-value, fully-refundable fare early, then continue looking for something better to pop up.

  • Very early morning flights and flights with at least one stop tend to be discounted.
  • Stay with the same airline during your entire trip to receive round-trip or connecting fare discounts.
  • Did you know that most airlines launch fare sales on Tuesdays and Wednesdays? Consider purchasing your ticket on one of these days.
  • Avoid flying during peak travel periods. Mid-December to late January is a busy time of the year. Other holiday seasons are in April and July, when school holidays are utilized to visit places such as Cape Town, Kruger and Durban. If you want cheap flights South Africa, avoid travelling during these peak travel periods.

Airlines change their prices based on demand. If a certain flight is selling well, the price will increase. If another flight has no takers, the fare will drop until the airline gets some. As a result, fares and inventory are changing every minute.

For guaranteed flight specials, seek the assistance from a booking engine who is taking stock of these changes all the time.

South African Airlines

There are six major airlines which offer cheap flights in South Africa. They are; 1Time Airways, Kulula.com, British Airways, Mango Airlines, Nationwide Air and South African Airways.

All airlines offer low-cost, single-class cheap flight specials.

To make it even better, there are several quality cruises that you can take in order to experience the ultimate cruise experiences. In this article, we are going to talk about some of the best cruises available today.

The Caribbean is noted as the most visited cruise destination in the world, so you should find Caribbean cruises if you want to enjoy the best holiday experiences. My personal favorite is the eastern Caribbean cruises, with stops including Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. John (also known as the US Virgin Islands), Puerto Rico, and of course the St. Martin making your trip highly enjoyable. Prepare for some intense beach and water activities during the cruise.

Western Caribbean cruises, on the other hand, offers slightly different experiences to enjoy. Great destinations in the Lakes

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Lakes for a holiday then you really need to decide which area of the Lakes you would like your holiday to be in. Because of the geography of the Lake District, it is not really feasible to see all of it. Most people choose to either spend the week in the Northern Lakes or in the southern Lakes.

If you opt for the Northern Lakes, then you won’t do better than Keswick. Keswick is described by most as the hub of the Northern Lakes, and it has this tag for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it is well placed in the Northern Lakes for getting around. You will quite comfortably be able to get out and about and see all of the places you want to see from here, with it being very central. Secondly though, it has this tag because it is such a pretty little place and people are happy to stay there. It is a very traditional market town, but it has enough there to keep any holiday makers happy, with some national stores and a good collection of individual local gift shops which are quite lovely.

You will find that there is plenty of rental accommodation, and in particular you will find that there are lots of Keswick cottages available to rent online. This is a nice way to see the place because you are going to want somewhere to call home for a week or two.

If you don’t fancy Keswick, there are some great ambleside cottages and bowness cottages to choose from.

A Week in Germany

It was only a few years ago that I discovered that I had some German Heritage. Just think, all those years joining in with all of the other guys down the pub singing stupid chants as we beat the Germans 5-1, and I was one of them! Of course, all of that down the pub was just a bit of fun, and I was quite excited to think that I wasn’t just another boring Brit!

It occurred to me a few years later that I really knew nothing about the country at all, and I had never even been there. That year I persuaded my wife that it would be a great place for a holiday. I immediately looked on the internet to see where we could go and I came across some Frankfurt flights. From what I had previously found out, this is where my German family had lived so it would be great to see it.

When we arrived in Frankfurt I immediately liked it. It was full of grand high rise skyscrapers and it didn’t seem like the Germany I had pictured in my head at all. It turned out to be a very cultured place indeed with a vibrant night life and a real continental city feel to it. It certainly was not all Frankfurter sausages, although I did try a few and they were out of this world! I didn’t find out too much about my heritage, but I did discover a lovely European City that I would happily return to.

Etiquette for Your Asian Cruise

An Asia cruise is a wonderful way to get away from it all; the sun, the ocean waves, and more all add up to a relaxing experience to never forget. But behaving out of line can not only ruin your trip, but the trips of others. Use the below etiquette tips to ensure this does not happen.

1. The first thing you need to do is realize that just because you are on an Asia cruise that does not mean that everything will and should be perfect. Just as it would be on land, things happen; the waiter could be a little late with your food, you could trip on deck, and so on. Try to maintain a state of mind that allows for less than perfect things to happen. When you do this, you are less likely to let everything bother you, leading to a lot of complaining and yelling; having a good time will prove to be a lot easier.

2. If you have children with you, make certain that they are well supervised. Loud and riled children are almost guaranteed to make other passengers uncomfortable, even miserable. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you want them to let their children run wild? Would you want complete strangers to almost ruin the vacation you had invested so much in? The answer would likely be no. Stay close to them and give the kids something age appropriate to do. If you are unable to think of anything, contact staff members and inquire if there are special programs that the children could participate in.

3. Remember, you are not the only person on the boat; keep your noise level to a minimum. Never do such things as slam doors during sleeping hours, or blast your music collection as loudly as possible. Other people will certainly be able to hear it, and may complain to staff. You really do not want your vacation ruined by getting into trouble, so behave in a way that prevents it.

If you need more tips, consider checking out a cruise forum; there are bound to be people with plenty to share and explain.

Tips for booking a ski holiday in France

Any avid skiing fan understands just how much a ski holiday can cost, however many are not aware of just how to best prepare for a trip. With the normal costs of a holiday such as travel and lodging, there are additional fees such as lift passes. Despite these extra costs there are a few ways to limit the financial burden and organize the best possible ski holiday.

First and foremost, it is important to choose to ski during the off-peak months; avoiding the crowded times can also improve the quality of the snow throughout the day. Resort and chalet owners are also hungry for tenants so there are good deals available. January and March are considerably cheaper than peak times such as New Year and February, and should be booked if at all possible.

If you bring your own equipment, planning your travel carefully (either by car, rail or air) is important. Using some low cost airlines that tack on additional charges for cargo can quickly turn an otherwise inexpensive ride into an overpriced one. Ski friendly services such as SnowJet will carry skis free of charge, and should be considered first when booking your flight.

Finally, research your lodging options carefully and select the ideal mix of location and price. With so many chalets and resorts in France, there is constant pressure to outperform both on amenities and price. Despite this, it is still a great idea to research your options well in advance, booking only when you are certain you have selected the best deal.
