Great destinations in the Lakes

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Lakes for a holiday then you really need to decide which area of the Lakes you would like your holiday to be in. Because of the geography of the Lake District, it is not really feasible to see all of it. Most people choose to either spend the week in the Northern Lakes or in the southern Lakes.

If you opt for the Northern Lakes, then you won’t do better than Keswick. Keswick is described by most as the hub of the Northern Lakes, and it has this tag for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it is well placed in the Northern Lakes for getting around. You will quite comfortably be able to get out and about and see all of the places you want to see from here, with it being very central. Secondly though, it has this tag because it is such a pretty little place and people are happy to stay there. It is a very traditional market town, but it has enough there to keep any holiday makers happy, with some national stores and a good collection of individual local gift shops which are quite lovely.

You will find that there is plenty of rental accommodation, and in particular you will find that there are lots of Keswick cottages available to rent online. This is a nice way to see the place because you are going to want somewhere to call home for a week or two.

Cape Town is a place of many different influences, and this is certainly shown through the choice of eateries in the city. You will find that you are spoilt for choice both in terms of number and quality, and very few leave Cape Town on an empty stomach!

Cape Town has to be seen to be believed. It is a remarkable place which is so diverse in what it offers. From stunning rural and mountainous landscapes, to inner city views and beach side sunsets, it really does have it all.
